FIVE people were taken to hospital after a taxi and a car crashed in Bolton.
The accident happened at around 3.30pm at traffic lights on Blackburn Road, Bolton, at its junction with Astley Street.
The road was blocked and long tailbacks formed as police officers diverted traffic and paramedics tended the injured. Four passengers and the driver of the Rover 75 suffered minor injuries and were taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital.
The driver of the Toyota Corolla was not hurt.
Witnesses to the crash are asked to call the Road Policing Unit at Leigh on 0161 856 7274.
