NEW Year resolutions might have gone by the wayside, but Bolton Arena is determined to get people back on track.
Arena businesses have launched a new special offer designed to get people back into shape after the excesses of the festive season. The advertising campaign will involve posters featuring larger men and women, and controversial slogans, such as 'less cheek please'and 'Christmas spilling over into the New Year'.
And 'large' men and women models have been at the Market Place shopping centre in Bolton town centre to promote the campaign, wearing slogans and trousers with slogans on them.
Mike Bain, managing director of the Bolton Arena, said: 'This is all about having fun with the issue of fitness and the inevitable effects of too much Christmas cheer. We wanted to talk to Bolton with a sense of humour.'
If people join during January, they can obtain a 12-month full, peak-time membership for just 99p per day.
