A LEAFLET telling me that my recycling box was to be emptied on the Wednesday between Christmas (normally it would be Tuesday) then two weeks later I received another leaflet saying there would be no refuse collection Christmas week?
So therefore, I didn't bother to put mine out.
Imagine my surprise later on the following Wednesday, when I returned home from work to find that they turned up to empty my box but couldn't because I had been misled by two different notifications. Not only that, but we were also told to cut up our Christmas trees and put them inside the brown bin for collection, only to now find out that brown bins have now gone onto monthly collections and will not be emptied until the end of the month.
Surely it would have made sense to have one collection to get rid of all the trees. Is this really so hard to organise? Perhaps the powers that be can explain.
