How nice it was to see the pictures of Oxford Street on the Looking Back page on Tuesday, January 10.
It was good to be able to compare how it was in 1907 and then in 1969, and see how the "ordinary" terraces were replaced with beautiful, ornate buildings which have enhanced this street enormously.
It is a pity that modern architects do not consider planning their new buildings to enhance an area in such a way.
Talking of Oxford Street, why is the address of a unit half-way along it 1 Victoria Plaza?
Surely if anywhere was number 1 it would be the former Co-op?
