HERE we go again! Bolton Council deciding for us what we want - the pedestrianisation of Churchgate, aimed at 'putting pedestrians first and improving public transport' (January 11).
If people cannot park, the Olde Pastie Shoppe and other businesses may just as well thrown in their cards.
If they want to make the town centre more friendly, we need places to park, close to amenities, at a reasonable cost, and also buses which run on time, are clean, and with easy access for the more infirm - not old dinosaurs with steep steps and dirty windows.
If these conditions are not put into place, friendly Bolton will be empty, friendly Bolton.
If the council keeps riding roughshod over the townspeople, I hope they will remember it is not long to voting time.
