A FREE bus service will not be effected by a proposed weight limit which could be introduced on two roads in Horwich.
Highways bosses at Bolton Council have confirmed the service, which operates in Stocks Park Drive, will run as normal.
The service is used by pensioners and those with mobility problems and allows them to make trips to supermarkets in Chorley New Road.
Bolton Council responded to residents' concerns in a letter to Horwich Town Council following two objections to the proposed 7.5 tonne weight limit on Stocks Park Drive and Melbourne Grove.
The proposals, which were approved by Bolton Council in June last year, will only effect lorries.
