A CAP badge for the new 'super regiment' formed from three North-west regiments has been unveiled.
The new Duke of Lancaster's Regiment has brought together the King's Own Royal Border Regiment, The King's Regiment and The Queens Lancashire Regiment. It formally comes into existence on July 1 this year.
The new badge features a red rose with a crown on top, surrounded by a laurel wreath with the regimental motto on a scroll below. It is a combination of the existing regimental badges.
The motto Nec Asper Terrent means Difficulties Be Damned.
Bolton is one of the biggest recruiters for the Queens Lancashire Regiment. Staff at the Great Moor Street recruitment office have now been issued with the new badge.
