VISITORS have been banned from kissing inmates in a women's prison in a successful bid to prevent drugs being smuggled into the jail.
Prison staff said drugs were being passed from mouth to mouth during visiting hours.
The ban has been credited by managers with helping to reduce drug taking at Styal Prison,Cheshire.
The Home Office said positive drug tests had fallen from 33pc in January 2005 to just 3pc now.
