BOLTON boxer Amir Khan has been nominated for the Sony Entertainment Television Sports Personality of the Year, which takes place on February 4 at London's Park Lane Hilton Hotel.
Celebrating its fifth year, the Sony Entertainment Television Sports Personality of the Year Awards celebrates the achievements of British Asian sporting talents.
Over 800 VIPS, including an array of sporting icons, industry figures and A-list celebrities will attend the Awards. Previous ceremonies have been supported by some of the biggest names in sport including Ashes hero Kevin Pieterson, Indian cricket star Kapil Dev, England and Spurs striker Jermain Defoe, former England batsman Mike Gatting, and former England and West Ham footballer Sir Trevor Brooking.
This year's entertainment also features performances from chart toppers Westlife. The ceremony will be hosted by leading actor Nitin Ganatra, who starred in films Pride & Prejudice, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
