THEO Walcott could spend the rest of the season with Southampton, even if a deal was struck for him to move to Arsenal.
Gunners manager Arsene Wenger yesterday maintained any talk of a £10million offer for the highly-rated 16-year-old was somewhat premature, but indicated he would be keen on adding the youngster to his squad.
Southampton maintain they are in no rush to sell their prize asset, who looks certain to be a full England international in the future.
Wenger is clearly a big fan of Walcott but indicated the Barclays Premiership club may perhaps consider allowing him to finish the current campaign at St Mary's should any agreement on his transfer be reached.
