JUSSI Jaaskelainen will not be joining the transfer merry-go-round this month.
Wanderers' keeper, who is in a contract stand-off with his Reebok bosses, has been linked with Arsenal and Middlesbrough in recent weeks.
But Sam Allardyce, who has added the Oman international Ali Al-Habsi to his goalkeeping ranks and loaned reserve keeper Chris Howarth to Stockport County for a month, insisted today that his number one is going nowhere.
He also made it clear he would not even consider cashing in on centre-back, Tal Ben Haim, who is also locked in contract negotiations and has been touted as a target for Chelsea and Portsmouth. "I wouldn't consider letting Jussi go in any shape or form," he said.
"He is contracted to us until 2007 and he is playing for Bolton Wanderers week in and week out, so there's no need for any discussion other than that.
"And it's the same with the speculation over Tal Ben Haim. That simply ain't going to happen because of the numbers game and our problems.
"The players we are taking to Blackburn tomorrow are going to be asked to play the full 90 minutes because all we've got behind them are academy players.
"So, if we can't get somebody in to alleviate the problem, not just while players are away at the African Nations Cup but for the rest of the season, we will just have to cope with the players we've got."
Allardyce says he will consider selling unsettled striker, Jared Borgetti, but only if he is able to sign two new strikers. Benfica are reportedly interested in the Mexican goal star but Wanderers have received no enquires.
"I've heard one or two rumours of clubs who fancied him, but the fact is that we would have to replace Borgetti before we sold him - and with two players, not just one," he said.
"There's no point in us getting one out and one in because of the numbers we have at the moment."
Allardyce is prepared to release French winger Fabrice Fernandes, who has made only three starts this season and has even been overlooked at reserve level.
"He wants to leave and I don't want players who don't want to stay," the manager said.
