A BOLTON father is to thank two charities which have supported his daughter - by organising a race night.
Erin Gregson, aged two, is almost blind and has cerebral palsy.
She has been helped by Bolton-based Vision Aid and Chorley-based Rainbow House for the past year.
Her father Mike, who lives with his partner Mandy Black in Little Lever, is organising a fundraising race night with proceeds to be divided between the two organisations.
Mr Gregson said: "Without their help, I don't know where we would be.
"Vision Aid provides support and advice, and also loans us equipment to help stimulate my daughter's sight.
"Erin attends Rainbow House twice a week, which provides education for children with movement disorder."
This will be the second fundraiser Mr Gregson has helped organise for Vision Aid.
In November last year, members of the website WanderersWays.com, including Mr Gregson, came up with the idea to use Bolton Wanderers' European campaign to raise money for the charity.
Around 1,000 fans bought specially-made Wanderers beach balls for £2 each and took them to Portugal for the UEFA cup tie against Vitoria Guimaraes.
The race night will start at 7.30pm on Friday, February 10, at Little Lever Cricket Club, Victory Road, Little Lever, Bolton.
Tickets are £2 for adults and £1 for children, and include a pastie and peas supper.
There will also be a raffle and auction, with prizes including a Bolton Wanderers signed football and signed New Order CDs.
Tickets can be bought on the night, by ringing 07980 507279, or by emailing gregson.mike@ googlemail.com
