TWO men have been charged with murder following the death of a dad from Radcliffe.
Martin Rankin, aged 37, of Glenvale Close, was found with multiple head injuries shortly after 1.20am on Christmas Eve.
It is believed he had been attacked with a machete.
Mr Rankin, who worked as a roofer, was taken to Fairfield Hospital and later transferred to Hope Hospital, Salford, where he died on New Year's Eve.
Dale Jones, aged 20, of Walker Street, Bury, and Babar Hussain, aged 27, of Cornwall Drive, Bury, have been charged with his murder.
They were arrested on Tuesday afternoon by detectives and charged on Wednesday night.
The two men are due to appear at Bury magistrates court on Thursday.
