A DRINK driver, who was more than two times over the legal limit, hit speeds of 110mph on a motorway, a court heard.
David Swatman, aged 26, of Polefield Circle, Prestwich, appeared before magistrates in Bury and was banned from the road for 18 months.
He had entered a guilty plea to drink driving, driving without insurance and driving at excess speed.
Swatman was caught as he sped past a police Range Rover on the M60 at Heywood. He was found to have 88 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.
In addition to the ban, magistrates gave Swatman a 24-month community order with supervision and a requirement to attend the Drink Drivers' Offending Programme. He was also fined £200 with £35 court costs.
