DISCUSSIONS are taking place with potential new tenants of the former Littlewood's Index store in Bolton's Market Place.
Rod Neasham, centre manager for the Market Place, said that although talks were at an early stage, there were interested parties for the unit.
No indication was given as to the identities of the potential occupiers.
Mr Neasham said: "There are no firm plans as yet, but there has been interest in the unit and we are talking to people."
He added that no timescale for occupation had been set, as negotiations would normally "take some some time to finalise."
The store in the Market Place, along with another in the Mill Gate Shopping Centre, in Bury, closed last Saturday, with a combined loss of about 70 jobs.
