LOWTON Civic Hall will be turned into a bookworms bazaar on Saturday (January 14).
The event will kick off the 2006 programme of second hand book fairs in the north west.
Collectors will be able to choose from the thousands of books - and postcards - being displayed on 30 stalls by dealers from throughout the county and beyond.
Most subjects will be covered with a range of prices from 50p to hundreds of pounds for the rarer titles.
Doors are open from 10am to 4.30pm and refreshments will be available. Admission is 60p with concessions and children free.
