IN the Bolton Evening News, January 4, Sean Hornby on the subject of taxis, quoted: 'that it is about time that the whole industry was cleaned up. We have too many vehicles which are sub-standard'.
He is right.
A few weeks ago I stopped at the traffic lights at Crompton Way and Folds Road. While there a private hire car stopped on the offside of me.
It had an odd wheel on the front nearside with three nuts on the wrong way round and a stud with no nut on it at all.
If taxis are running like this they will get themselves off the road and take some innocent victim with them.
