ON Friday, January 6, there was an article about a group of people in Edgworth campaigning against wind turbines being built on Broadhead Valley.
Are these people mad, stupid, or both?
The campaigners are not bothering to see past their own noses, and it seems to me that they would rather have no countryside at all than a few wind turbines, because that is what will happen, the countryside will disappear because of global warming.
Personally, I think the turbines are the best option. They are not as ugly as people think.
I love the countryside, and I would love my grandchildren and great grandchildren to love it too, and not a great mess of dank and dirt that will become of the countryside if the wind turbines are not used.
