I AM puzzled to read that apparently Great Lever has been singled out as a den of iniquity, vice and prostitution.
Sure, every area has it's problems, what about Radcliffe and Little Hulton?
Personally I don't know anyone who steals cars, attacks people in the street, or carries firearms at two o'clock in the morning.
Once upon a time Great Lever was an area of status in which to live, but now, with the boundary changes, we have to incorporate parts of Harper Green, New Bury and Farnworth.
Please don't tar us all with the same brush. The residents in my area are all law abiding citizens.
Take a walk down Deane Road on a Saturday night, I am sure that there will be someone around to tap you on the shoulder to ask for your wallet.
And on the other side of the coin, there may be someone who will ask 'Something for the weekend Sir?'
