NATURE lovers and wildlife enthusiasts in Adlington are invited to join the rangers at Yarrow Valley Country Park this weekend for a winter wonderland walk.
Enthusiasts can expect to see early signs of spring including catkins and other flowers, while eagle-eyed nature lovers may spot the water rail - a rare bird that has been spotted on the lodges. Sightings of visiting waterfowl and kingfishers are also common.
The walk takes place on Sunday between 1pm and 3pm and starts from the parks visitor centre off Birkacre Road, Coppull. Walkers should come dressed for all weather conditions and children must be accompanied by an adult. There is no need to book - just turn up.
