MANCHESTER city centre's futuristic Big Wheel could become a permanent landmark.
The 42-carriage wheel, situated next to the Urbis museum in Exchange Square, offers a bird's eye view of Manchester and the surrounding area.
World Tourist Attractions already has permission to keep it until April, but marketing manager John Lowry said he would love it to be a permanent fixtue.
The wheel, lit by 60,000 light bulbs, offers views for miles with commentary on the sights in the capsules.
