A MAN who attacked his girlfriend's former partner has been jailed for nine months.
Paul Carson, aged 45, of Tattersall Avenue, Bolton, went to Philip Burke's home to retrieve a £100 X-Box.
But while there, he hit Mr Burke on the jaw with a glass, which smashed.
Carson's son, Jason, and his brother, Joseph, who went with him to retrieve the computer, joined in the attack.
They knocked Mr Burke to the floor then kicked and punched him, Liverpool Crown Court heard.
The incident happened at Mr Burke's home in Atherton Road, Hindley, in July last year.
All three men pleaded guilty to assaulting Philip Burke causing actual bodily harm. Paul Carson also admitted a further charge of common assault and was jailed for nine months.
Jason Carson, of Bride Street, Bolton, was ordered to carry out 200 hours community service and Joseph Carson, aged 32, of Stockdale Grove, Bolton, was ordered to carry out 150 hours.
Both men were also orderedto pay £400 compensation and £250 prosecution costs.
