CIVIC and religious leaders from across the borough will gather at the Longfield Suite in Prestwich for the annual Holocaust Memorial Day later this month.
The event will take place on Thursday, January 26 at 7pm with the theme "One person can make a difference".
Organised by Bury Council and involving children from ten high schools in the borough, the special day provides a mark of respect for all victims of Nazi persecution.
As well as raising awareness of the Holocaust, the event will also reflect on recent atrocities that have raised similar issues.
Last year's event, at Radcliffe Civic Suite, highlighted the notorious events in Rwanda during the 1990s.
In attendance will be the Mayor of Bury, Coun Steve Treadgold, plus representatives from all denominations.
Entrance to the event is by ticket only.
The Longfield Suite is situated in the Longfield Centre shopping precinct, off Rectory Lane
