TWO members of legendary band The Smiths will perform together in public for the first time in almost 20 years.
Guitarist Johnny Marr and bassist Andy Rourke will team up at a charity concert in Manchester later this month.
But Smiths lead singer Morrissey will not be joining them, putting to rest hopes of a Smiths reunion.
Marr and Rourke have not played together in public since the four-piece band split acrimoniously in 1987. Rourke said: "It will be a one-off thing that you are not going to see anywhere else, ever again."
Other artists confirmed for the concert on January 28, at the MEN Arena include New Order, Badly Drawn Boy and Doves.
