IVAN Campo may have to put his return to Real Mallorca on hold.
The Reebok midfielder is keen on the move back to his former club, who would like to sign him in the January transfer window, but says he is unlikely to leave Wanderers until his contract runs out in the summer.
"I see a return to Mallorca as very feasible," Campo said. "I have always said that I wanted to return because it was the team where I most enjoyed playing football and where they treated me best."
But the struggling La Liga club are reluctant to pay a fee for the 31-year-old, who joined Wanderers from Real Madrid in August 2002.
Sam Allardyce is unlikely to let him leave on a free at a time when his already limited squad has been further weakened by the loss of four players to the African Nations Cup.
Campo, who is free to talk to clubs because of his contract situation, appears resigned to this being his last season at the Reebok.
"Maybe if Bolton want to receive something for me right now, because I can go on a free later, it may be feasible," he added.
"But we now have four monhths of very hard competition at Bolton. We are losing players to the African Cup of Nations and I do not know if Bolton would be willing to lose me right now."
Campo is one of three players suspended for Wanderers FA Cup third round tie at Watford on Saturday. Allardyce - already without El-Hadji Diouf, Abdoulaye Faye and Radhi Jaidi who have left for the Egypt tournament - also has Kevin Nolan and Kevin Davies serving one-match bans.
