SO Bury council are encouraging us to recycle our rubbish and dispose of it carefully? Chance would be a fine thing.
Every fortnight I put out eight very full green bags of paper. If I'm lucky, it is collected and two replacement bags left - not enough for the following fortnight and paper in carriers isn't accepted.
Usually the van goes speeding past and I'm left with a mountain to dispose of which I can't put in the ordinary bin because that hasn't been collected either; three weeks up until now, although normally they only manage to miss two.
Christmas week - loads of packaging and no collection. They forgot to inform residents but next week will kindly take an additional two bags.
In the meantime local kids tip over, burn and steal the bins left on the pavement. I'm on my fourth this year.
Taking rubbish to the tip myself isn't an option due to lack of transport. In the meantime, rats will flourish and we will continue to live in a midden.
