MAY we through your columns relay a special message of thanks to all the generous traders and churches of Bury, who once again donated food, money and vouchers to Bury Housing Concern's Christmas Cheer appeal.
Once again, through the generosity of others we were able to provide a full Christmas meal and gift to the borough's homeless.
Special thanks to Cormar Carpets, Emerson's Bakers, Asda, Marks & Spencer, Wilkinsons, the traders on Bury Market, Diggles Fishmonger, S & J Fishmonger, Malcolm Fishmonger, Gosling Sweets. Also thanks to Lunch Box for the cakes.
Many thanks to Father Morrow, St Joseph's Church, and to the Rector, Dr John Findon, for their time, donations and offers of help over the years. Thanks too for all the help from Florence Lyons.
Also many thanks to the Mayor of Bury, Councillor Steven Treadgold for attending this meal.
There was also a lady who came in and donated £50, but did not leave her name. Many thanks whoever you are.
