I WAS incensed when I read the article about the old police station in Wigan Road, Westhoughton.
In my eyes, the guide price of £70,000 was correct, due to it being old fashioned and having seen better days.
I find it very disconcerting that it was sold for four times its reserve price.
It annoys me that Westhoughton continues to be a magnet for developers.
The only way inflation of any kind can be stopped, as it appears to me, is to make sure people cannot afford the inflated prices.
Ten years ago, to my chagrin, a neighbour told me that people were getting paid too much causing industry to go abroad. Im beginning to think that he was right.
