BOXING sensation Amir Khan is after a 'pizza' the action - saying he may roll up his sleeves and work in his family's new takeaway.

The Olympic silver medalist joined his cousin, Bolton-born England cricketer Sajid Mahmood, to open Moods, in Bradshawgate, Bolton.

Amir said: 'If anyone wants to see me, they will be able to find me here after seven, probably working behind the counter.'

The takeaway owner, Femida Mahmood, who is Amir's aunt and Sajid's mother, said the business would be a takeaway and delivery service selling curries, pizza, kebabs and burgers. And there would be a restaurant for 40 people upstairs.

The takeaway has been in development for two months and has relied on a joint family effort to get the building ready for business.

Mrs Mahmood said: 'We are very excited about this new venture and it has only been successful because all the family has pulled together and helped.

'The majority of the staff are family but if it really takes off, we will hope to employ more people.'

Amir switched to boxing as a professional last year after capturing the nation's attention in the Athens Olympics.

Sajid, who is 24, plays cricket for Lancashire and has appeared for England in a one-day match.
