PETERBOROUGH 4, SHAKERS 1: Shakers were on the receiving end of a bit of a bashing as Peterborough moved into play-off contention with a comprehensive victory at London Road.
Striker James Quinn started the scoring when he fired a rebound into the net while Colin Woodthorpe steered a header into his own goal to double the lead.
Sagi Burton made it three with a deflected header just after the break before Jamie Day scored his first goal for the club on 64 minutes.
Dave Challinor slotted in a consolation for Shakers with 18 minutes left.
