VANDALS have targeted the decorated Christmas trees created around the Entwistle Reservoir.
Over the New Year weekend, they stripped one of the six holly bushes and conifers that had been decorated with tinsel, baubles and cards to cheer up walkers on the popular route.
One woman who decorated the trees but wanted to remain anonymous, said: Its such a shame that someone has done this.
"Its a mean thing to do, but it wont stop me decorating a tree again next year.
She and others including nursery owners Karrey Cotton and Pat Gleaves, decorated the trees early in December.
They redecorated the trees before Christmas after an earlier incident of vandalism.
