SAM Allardyce says he is still waiting to hear from his bosses about what scope he will have to strengthen his squad during the January transfer window.
Feyenoord's Japanese midfielder, Shinji Ono, and Marseilles Ivory Coast defender, Abdoulaye Meite, are understood to be top of his wish list, but there have been no positive moves yet.
"I know what we want and I want them in as quickly as possible," the manager said.
"But I have to wait and see if the board say that's OK from a financial point of view."
