Wanderers are set to invite Brondby youngster Jonas Kamper for a trial.
Kamper is highly rated at Brondby and is tipped for a big future in the game.
The 22-year-old has been watched by manager Sam Allardyce's scouts on several occasions this season and Wanderers have made enquiries about the striker.
Kamper's agent Lars Skjoth revealed that Bolton are keen to have the forward over at the Reebok Stadium before deciding whether or not to pursue their interest in the player.
"I can confirm that there have been talks with Bolton, but they want to see him in some matches before they make a decision," Skjoth said.
Allardyce is keen to bolster his squad in the January transfer window with a number of players going away on international duty at the African Cup of Nations and he could offer Kamper a deal if he impresses during his stint at the club.
