X FACTOR victor Shayne Ward stepped into 2006 with a happy glow after remaining on top in the singles charts.
The 21-year-old Mancunian enjoyed his second week at number one with That's My Goal, which topped the charts just four days after going on sale in December.
CDs were rushed into production immediately after Shayne was proclaimed the winner of the ITV reality show. His success means that previously-unknown folk-pop duo Nizlopi stayed at number two with their JCB Song.
Madonna climbed five places to three with Hung Up, which samples Abba's Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!, while Eminem was up one place to four with When I'm Gone.
The Pogues' Christmas classic, Fairytale of New York, slipped two places to number five, while the Pussycat Dolls climbed one place to number six with Stickwitu.
In the album charts, Eminem's compilation, Curtain Call - the Hits, hung on to the top spot, while James Blunt's Back to Bedlam stayed at number two. and Kelly Clarkson rose five places to three.
