CORONATION Street star Andrew Whyment loves soap life so much, he would continue to tread the cobbles even if he won the National Lottery.
The actor, from Bradshaw, plays Kirk Sutherland in the long-running series and has become a firm favourite with soap fans.
And the 23-year-old says he would not give it up, even if he won millions of pounds.
On his website he writes: "I would stay in Corrie because I enjoy it so much. When I get a bit of time off I get bored because all my mates work during the day."
But he would enjoy the windfall. He adds: "I would buy my mum and dad a massive house! And I would give my brother and sister and the rest of the family some money."
Andrew will be appearing on Soapstar Superstar as one of 10 actors in an X-Factor-style singing contest broadcast over 10 nights.
Starting on Friday, January 6, on ITV1, the former Royle Family star will compete against Bolton actress Sammy Winward, aged 20, as well as Shobna Gulati, Wendi Peters, Richard Fleeshman, Nicholas Bailey, Michael Greco, Lee Otway, Roxanne Pallett and Lucy Pargeter.
