TONY Blair's education plans must be opposed by all fair-minded people.
By allowing big business to invest in state schools and taking control away from democratic local education authorities.
Why should the fat cats line their pockets at the expense of our children's education?
This has already happened to our Health Service, and has not resulted in a better service.
And what would the private sector invest in?
I would suggest that it would be considered the successful schools, leaving the others fighting to gain funding.
The Green Party in Bolton will be campaigning against the Government plans.
We believe that these plans amount to a return to selection, by the back door, contrary to what the Education Minister has recently said.
The Tories have said that they would support the Education Bill in the Commons.
What does that say about this Labour Government's plans?
