FUNDRAISERS sacrificed a cosy night in bed for spooky goings-on in a haunted Prestwich pub.
Friends of Bury Cancer Support Centre raised more than £1,700 for spending three hours of the early morning at the reportedly haunted Church Inn, in Church Lane.
The group, who are based in St James' Church in Walshaw, Bury, were joined by ghostbusters Debbie and Peter Richardson with sensors trying to catch signs of the supernatural and orbs which are believed to be spirits. They were split up during the three-hour stint, from midnight to 3am, and spent time in different rooms with several reports of cold spots and the feeling of a presence'. The money raised will be donated to Bury Cancer Support Centre, Walshaw.
