TWO Prestwich men have appeared in court charged with murder and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.
Michael William Joyce (25), and Christopher John Joyce (21), both of Sandy Lane, were remanded in custody and committed for trial at Manchester Crown Court on February 3 following their appearance before Manchester magistrates.
Also remanded and committed for trial was a third man, Michael Joyce (52), of Cheetham Hill, who faces the same charges.
The three men are accused of murdering 61-year-old Michael Foy, of Chorlton-cum-Hardy.
He was found with serious injuries at a house on November 10 and died a short time later in Manchester Royal Infirmary.
Police investigating the incident say two teenage girls have been bailed until January 11 pending further inquiries.
A 44-year-old woman also remains on bail until January 10.
