VITORIA GUIMARAES 1, Wanderers 1: Portuguese youth star Ricardo Vaz Te scored a stunning 87th minute equaliser within just 40 seconds of coming on as substitute for Wanderers in their UEFA Cup Group H clash in Guimaraes.
Wanderers' 3,000 fans had earlier been stunned into silence when the home team took the lead six minutes from time, but they were in raptures when the youngster fired in a brilliant right-foot swirling shot into the far top corner to earn Wanderers a vital point.
Manager Sam Allardyce was delighted as he told Channel Five: "It looked all over when they scored.
But commenting on the late equaliser he added: "It was a fantastic goal and a fantastic result for us."
