PUPILS at Higher Lane Primary School are celebrating after netting a sporting trophy.
The netball team won the Prestwich and Whitefield Autumn Netball Rally, held at Prestwich Arts College. Eight primary schools in the area took part and Higher Lane emerged as the overall champions.
They beat St Michael's Primary 11-1 in the final and took home a rose bowl as reward.
Deputy headteacher Mrs Karen Baines said: "We are extremely proud of them. They played really well and it was lovely to watch."
