I REFER to the 'First Bus Spokesman', who treated my complaint regarding the 98 service, as a personal grievance. I cannot understand why he took this attitude, as I opened my letter with the words, 'On behalf of commuters'; there are hundreds of these people who regularly suffer long waits for your 'ten minutes service buses', so, your suggestion that I should let you know of my own experiences is a nonsense. In any event, it is your duty to check on the facts from the users of your services, a simple solution with all your inspectors.
I would also like to take this opportunity to remind First Bus that my letter was the latest of many sent directly to them or via the Bury Times, and I am certain that others have voiced their dissatisfaction.
The situation has existed for too long and it is your reponsiblity to investigate and remedy this without delay.
