FIREFIGHTERS are urging people not to overload electrical plugs following a house fire in Bolton.
The blaze started in a house in Sutcliffe Street and an investigation has revealed it was caused by an electrical fault after a plug socket was overloaded with electrical heaters.
Firefighters were called after neighbours heard the smoke alarm.
Station commander Brian Wiggans said: "I want to use this incident to make people aware that this is dangerous.
"If people are concerned about this, we offer a free home fire risk assessment."
