BURY boss Chris Casper has been running the rule over Burscough midfielder Liam Blakeman who played a big part in the Linnets' FA Cup giantkilling act at the expense of Gillingham in the first round.
Blakeman, who progressed through the youth ranks at Blackburn Rovers before dropping into non-league, is the grandson of former Ipswich Town player Larry Carberry who is one of the few players to boast championship medals from the top three divisions of English football and an ever-present in Alf Ramsey's First Division title-winning team of 1961-62.
