A 48-YEAR-OLD woman who had her arm amputated following a horrific collision with a HGV is continuing to recover in hospital.
The pedestrian was crossing the A580 East Lancs Road at traffic lights near to the junction of Worsley Road, Swinton, last week when she was in collision with a Mercedes tipper truck.
She was taken to Hope Hospital in Salford where she underwent emergency surgery.
The woman is said to be in a serious but stable condition and is likely to be in hospital until the New Year.
