A RAFT of Bolton Wanderers football memorabilia has gone under the hammer at a London-based auction house.
A rare ticket stub and a number of programmes were among the lots put up for grabs at Sotheby's Olympia auction in London.
Top of the lots, was a 1923 Bolton v West Ham FA Cup final ticket stub which sold for £1,000 - a reasonable profit on the five shillings, or 25p in today's money - which it cost to buy. A programme for the same game was also snapped up by a memorabilia collector. And it smashed its estimate of between £800 and £1,000, eventually selling for £1,100.
Two other programmes were put up for auction.
A 1926 Bolton v Manchester City FA Cup final programme sold for £1,400 and a 1929 Bolton v Portsmouth FA Cup final programme was bought for £800.
