BOLTON'S new image to attract more visitors, what a waste of money!
I would advise Bolton Council to spend the money on clearing the litter from the Chorley Old Road area first as visitors won't be able to reach our top attractions.
Bolton Council seem content on either changing Bolton's best assets (the Market Hall, the management of Smithills Hall) or building things completely out of context to the surroundings (the new arch near the train station, which, surprise surprise, has incurred complications and more expense, a new hotel near Spa Road, the statue of sport built in the middle of a road).
Bolton has a lot to offer and it is very frustrating seeing the changes over the years.
On a more positive note I would like to say how pleased I am with the farmers market. As an addition to the farmers market at Smithills I believe it would be a good idea to have a Christmas market in the same surroundings with a Santa's Grotto and sleigh rides set amongst the trees with a decorated path leading up to it.
