THE relaunch of a residents association in Prestwich has got off to a flying start.
Dashwood Road resident Darrell Johnson organised a special meeting of Prestwich Village Residents Association (PVRA) and invited everyone living in the vicinity of Bury New Road to attend.
Mr Johnson was delighted when more than 50 people turned up wanting to form a stronger voice on local issues.
The group discussed a number of issues such as setting up a Homewatch scheme, crime, traffic congestion, future planning applications by Tesco and the impact of a proposed planning application by local company FDK Kitchens.
The group's next meeting will be in January.
