A PRESTWICH man has undergone emergency surgery after he was shot in the back.
The victim, who has not been named, was discovered by police who were called to Bolton Close, Off Butterstile Lane, at 4.15am on Sunday following reports of shots being fired. It is believed a weapon was fired after a group of men turned up at house in Bolton Close. A car was also damaged by gunfire. Detectives investigating the shooting have yet to interview the victim who is in a poorly but stable condition in hospital. A man has been arrested on suspicion of firearms offences and bailed pending further enquiries.
