A 48-year-old woman lost her arm after being hit by a tipper truck on the East Lancs Road, Swinton, on Tuesday.
The pedestrian from Swinton was crossing the A580 at traffic lights near the junction of Worsley Road shortly before 2pm.

The driver of the Mercedes truck, a 52-year-old man from Shevington, was not injured.
An investigation into the cause of the accident has been launched by police.
