THE world's most expensive steak and mushroom pie is on sale at a Burnley restaurant - at £1,000 a slice!
About £500 of beef, Chinese mushrooms worth more than £2,000 and truffles have replaced traditional ingredients.
Its sauce is fortified by two bottles of 1982 Chateau Mouton Rothschild red wine costing £4,000 and the crust is topped with gold leaf.
The recipe was prepared by Spencer Burge, head chef at the Fence Gate Inn in Burnley and the pie cuts into eight slices, with a total cost of £8,195 reports BBC Lancashire.
